What: Every Second Saturday of the month in Downtown Sacramento, there is an event that several artists & musicians team up with shop and street venders for a big artwalk/party. It starts at 6pm. Cuffs Urban Apparel showcases an art gallery reception, live bands & dj's, and a live art show in front of the store on the sidewalk.

Sept.19 SLG Publishing Presents: Comic Fest

What: SLG Publishing, founders of the Alternative Press Expo, returns to the San Jose, CA conventoin scene with Comics Fest. This one day event will gather together a number of indy comics creators in an exhibit of both established and emerging local talent. Held at the spacious SLG Gallery, this event is free to all.

What: Fans of zombies come out in make up and dressed as zombies. The zombie walk will meet at Empires Comics Vault around 3:30-4pm. Show up early to get zombiefied with make up if you can't do your own. We will have limited make-up artists on hand so if you can do your own make-up then please do. The Zombie Walk will start around 5pm and take a route to the Century Stadium 14 Theater. The zombie walkers are encouraged to emulate zombie movement while in route. Participating zombie walkers (in make-up) that show up at Empires Comics Vault will be allowed to see the screener of Zombieland for free.

What: From the Land Beyond is a gathering of like minded individuals and groups that all share the love for Horror and Science Fiction from film and novel to magazines or comic books and more. Fans will be able to meet some of their favorite guests in all of these mediums. You will be able to shop around and find some of the newest to vintage and rare: DVDS, Photos, Costumes, Props, Books, Memorabilia, Toys, Posters, Art, Comics, Games, Jewelery, T-Shirts & Clothing, Patches & Stickers, Autographs & More! There is live band performances, costume contest, movie room, guest panels, friday night swap meet, video game room and a charity art auction.
