Ann Matsushima now works at Marukai, a local Japanese supermarket, as a cashier. She works along side middle-aged Filipino women and high school graduates. Sometimes she brings me gifts of instant rice and curry packets. She's been cooking with things like lotus root, daikon radish, and kabocha squash. This is a picture I took of her while visiting her at work.
